In 2011 I started my studies in chemistry at Philipps-University Marburg, Germany. After receiving my bachelor's degree with a thesis on the release of photostarters from polymeric materials with a prospective use as intraocular lenses in the Group of Prof. Norbert Hampp (Philipps-University Marburg), I commenced with the master's program in the same area. In 2016 I received my master's degree on the development of an analysis tool for capillary electrophoresis results of DNA footprinting studies in the Group of Jun.-Prof. Olalla Vázquez (Philipps-University Marburg). During my studies I spent two internships abroad, one in the group of Prof. Omar A. ElSeoud at Universidade de São Paulo, Brasil, in 2013 and one in the group of Prof. Han Sen Soo at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2014.
In January 2017 I joined the Kolblab as a PhD student, investigating mainly the rational modulation of GPCR signalling pathways by targeting GPCR and non-GPCR targets using in silico methods such as molecular docking calculations. During my PhD, I also visited the laboratory of Prof. Jillian Baker at the University of Nottingham, UK, in 2018 where I was performing in vitro assays. After receiving my PhD in January 2021, I am currently working as a Postdoctoral researcher in the Kolblab.Publications |
